So what have I been up to?
I mentioned a while back I started selling AdvoCare products. I decided to tackle the 24 Day Challenge for the first time, and I had great success with it! Not only did I lose pounds and inches, but I felt a million times better as well. The face I'm making in the "before" as opposed to the face I'm making in the "after" is very telling. I didn't do that on purpose, but I think it's a good indicator of how I was feeling in those moments.
Along with completing the 24 Day Challenge, I also chopped off all my hair!
I wore it in a bun every single day without fail, and I was tired of messing with it. It had gotten so long and heavy that not even a bun with two rubber bands could hold it up during a workout! I was so over it, and I'm very glad it's gone.
This summer I have picked up my workouts. I love that I can go in the mornings and start my day off with a good sweat.
Speaking of my workouts, I have been doing a lot of thinking, and I think it may be time for me to do something that
scares terrifies me.
I looked into CrossFit years ago, but there weren't any boxes close enough to be convenient, and they were also very expensive. Since then, a few boxes have opened or moved locations, and one that's on my way home from work is offering a great promotion right now. After all the research I've been doing on that particular box and on CrossFit itself, the more I think this may be the right move for me. I need to force myself to step out of my comfort zone. I need to try something that scares me and will push me further than I've ever gone before. The way I see it, there's a reason why every person I have asked has replied with an emphatic, "DO IT!!!!! YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE IT!!!!" I completely expect the pain, and I've been warned about how hard it is, but I've also been told there's nothing that compares to the sense of pride, community, and accomplishment that comes with it.
I'm going to the box tomorrow to check it out. I'll figure out then if it's the right fit for me. It sounds great, and it gets great reviews, but I'm not going to make any final decisions until I can get there and check it out for myself.
That pretty much sums up the big events! I'll definitely be back before another 3 months pass by. :)
Have you ever tried CrossFit? Do you know anyone who has? What are your thoughts on it?
